Our 5-year warranty, in writing

Every install we do carries a 5-year warranty, in writing. It's spelled out in the same written quote that lists your measurements, price and install date. If something covered fails, we come back and fix it. The exact terms live in your signed quote, not in a sales pitch.

Our 5-year warranty, in writing

A warranty is only worth what's written down, so ours is written down. Every retractable screen, awning, louvered pergola or screen door we install carries a 5-year warranty, and the terms are part of the written quote you sign before we start work, not a verbal promise made during the sales visit.

We design, measure, sell, install and service each opening ourselves. A technician measures your opening on site, the quote lists the price and the warranty in writing, and the aluminum components go in by our own install crew. Because the same company that quoted the job also installs and services it, there's nobody to point to if something goes wrong – the warranty sits with us.

The warranty applies from the day of install, and it covers what a workmanship and components warranty normally covers: defects in the aluminum parts and the mechanism, and problems caused by how the unit was installed. It does not turn into a maintenance contract or cover damage from misuse or severe weather events outside normal use – the signed quote spells out exactly where that line sits for your product.

Making a claim

If something covered by the warranty fails, you call (289) 270-5747 or email us and describe what's happening. We book a visit, usually to the same address we installed at, and a technician looks at the unit in person before anything is replaced or adjusted. There's no claims portal to navigate and no form to mail in – it's a phone call and a visit.

Normal wear versus a defect

Aluminum components and moving parts wear differently than a defect behaves. Fading from years of sun, a slat that's been knocked by a vehicle, or a mechanism that's never been cleaned are wear and damage, not covered failures. A part that fails from how it was built or installed is what the warranty is for. We'll always tell you plainly which one we're looking at before we quote a repair.

After the warranty ends

A warranty ending doesn't mean service ends. We keep stocking parts for the product lines we install and can keep servicing units well past year five – most of what fails on an aluminum screen or awning after years of use is a motor, a spring or a fabric, all replaceable. We also carry individual parts and can source replacements for most other brands on the market, though the original equipment maker's lead time applies.

Why our warranty works the way it does

We design, measure, quote, install and service every opening ourselves, so there's one company behind the warranty from the first site visit to the last service call. Every component is aluminum and assembly happens in Canada, which keeps parts consistent and easy to match years later. We don't hand the parts list to a different company once your install is finished.

Frequently Asked Questions

It covers defects in the aluminum components and the mechanism, and issues caused by how the unit was installed. The exact wording for your product line is in the written quote you sign before install, which is the document to check for anything specific to your job.

Call (289) 270-5747 or email us, describe what's happening, and we'll book a visit. A technician looks at the unit before any part is replaced or adjusted, and we'll tell you plainly if what you're seeing is covered or if it's normal wear.

No. Fading from sun exposure, wear from years of use, and damage from severe weather events are not defects – they're the normal life of an outdoor product. The warranty covers the aluminum parts and mechanism failing on their own or because of how they were installed, which we'll explain at the visit.

We keep servicing and stocking parts well past the warranty period. We can also source parts for most other brands you might already own, though lead time depends on the original equipment maker rather than on us.

Yes. Retractable screens, awnings, louvered pergolas and screen doors all go out with a 5-year warranty in writing, as part of the same written quote process regardless of which product you choose.

Yes. Ask to see it at our Newmarket showroom or on your in-home measure visit, and we'll walk through what it says in plain terms before you sign anything.

Where we install this

Ontario puts aluminum shading products through a real range: humid summers, driving rain, and winters with freeze-thaw cycles that stress any moving mechanism. Aluminum handles that better than most materials because it doesn't rust, but motors, springs and fabric still take the brunt of the weather over years of use. That's part of why the written warranty matters here specifically – it sets out plainly what we stand behind once the Ontario seasons start working on an install, rather than leaving it to be argued over later.
